Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets out what you may not do with WebDIY — the conduct and content that are prohibited, the rules specific to AI, and your responsibilities for the apps you build.
Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses WebDIY — to your own use, to the applications you build, and to your end users. If you violate it, we may remove content and suspend or terminate access. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms.
Prohibited conduct
You must not, and must not permit anyone to:
- use the Service in violation of any law, regulation, or third-party rights;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service, or use the Service or its output to build, train, or improve a competing product or AI model, or to benchmark without our written consent;
- circumvent usage limits, credits, rate limits, or security measures; create accounts by automated or bulk means; or use one account to evade a ban;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, impose an unreasonable load on our or our providers’ infrastructure, or probe, scan, or test its vulnerability without authorization;
- upload or transmit malware, or harvest other users’ data or personal information;
- mine cryptocurrency or run other disproportionately resource-intensive workloads not offered as a feature.
Prohibited content and applications
Do not use the Service to create, host, or distribute content or applications that:
- are unlawful, or infringe or misappropriate intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- sexually exploit or endanger minors (including CSAM), or facilitate human trafficking or other exploitation;
- are defamatory, harassing, threatening, or promote violence, hate, or discrimination;
- are fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to phish or impersonate a person or organization, or to spread malware;
- distribute spam or unsolicited communications, or violate marketing, anti-spam, or telemarketing laws.
AI-specific rules
- Do not use Generated Output for high-risk purposes (such as medical, legal, or financial advice, or safety- critical systems) without qualified human review, or in any way that would require a license or authorization you do not hold.
- Do not use the Service for any purpose prohibited by applicable AI regulation (including prohibited practices under the EU AI Act), or to generate content intended to deceive, manipulate, or unlawfully surveil people.
- Do not present Generated Output as human-authored where doing so is deceptive or unlawful.
Responsibility for your applications
You are responsible for the applications you build and for your end users. You must comply with the laws that apply to your application — including privacy, consumer-protection, and children’s-privacy laws — provide your end users a compliant privacy notice, and obtain any required consents. See Privacy Policy → Your responsibilities.
Enforcement and reporting
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate — including removing content, disabling projects, throttling, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting to law enforcement. To report abuse or a violation, contact us at compliance@web.diy.
