How does WebDIY work?
Tell WebDIY what you want to build, from a rough idea to a detailed specification. It writes the code and shows your app in a live preview as it builds. Keep chatting to make changes, add features, or refine the design, then publish when you’re ready.
Do I need coding experience to use WebDIY?
No. You can build an app by describing what you want in plain language, and WebDIY handles the code for you. If you are a developer, you can also inspect and edit every file and download the complete project.
How much does WebDIY cost?
You can start free with 50 credits per day, with no credit card required. Pro costs $19.99 per month or $199 per year and includes 2,000 credits per month. Max costs $199 per month and includes 20,000 credits per month.
How do WebDIY credits work?
Credits pay for the resources used to build, run, and host your app. Each message shows how many credits it used, and larger or more complex changes typically use more. If you run out of credits, your published app stays online and new build requests wait until your credits refill.
What can I build with WebDIY?
You can build web apps and websites including booking sites, online stores, client portals, internal tools, dashboards, landing pages, and more. Apps can include their own database and user authentication and are designed to work across desktop and mobile browsers. WebDIY does not currently build native iOS or Android apps.
Can I use my own domain with WebDIY?
Yes. Every app includes a free website.diy address. Pro and Max plans also let you connect a custom domain, such as yourstudio.com, with SSL configured automatically.
What integrations does WebDIY support?
WebDIY can connect to services such as Stripe, Slack, Google Sheets, Notion, HubSpot, and OpenAI, as well as other services that provide an API. A database and user sign-in are also built in, so you do not need to set them up separately.
Do I own my app and its code?
Yes. You can download your project code at any time. WebDIY generates a standard React and TypeScript project that you can keep, edit, extend, or deploy elsewhere.
Can I use WebDIY with my team?
Yes. You can invite people to your organization and assign roles based on what they need to do. Admins can manage and publish projects, Builders can work with the AI, and Viewers can access the live app. Free supports up to 3 people, Pro up to 5, and Max up to 10.
Which AI models does WebDIY support?
WebDIY uses Claude Sonnet 5.5 by default. Pro and Max users can choose from 14 AI models, including models from Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, and DeepSeek, for individual messages.
Is WebDIY secure?
WebDIY serves every published app over HTTPS and includes built-in user authentication. Secrets are kept out of your source code and hidden from logs, and WebDIY blocks publishing if a secret or key is detected in the app.
