# New projects start on a faster template with 4 GB of memory

Released October 15, 2026 · Improved · Preview

New projects run on Vite 8, and the computer each one runs on has 4 GB of memory.

Every project starts from one template: a Vite and React app in TypeScript. New projects now use Vite 8, and the computer each one runs on has 4 GB of memory, so larger apps have room to build and run. Changes reach the Preview in place.
